      Hi Virangelus-

The 1st book Spirit Thorn is available for $1 at Apple, Amazon, B&N, and Smashwords. Or see it free @ spiritthorn.com.

Also, I can e-mail a free copy in Kindle, ePub, PDF, Word, etc; just tell me the file type you prefer.

Spirit Thorn is a YA novella. Mixed reviews, modest sales, a few small awards. My WIP, The Cyclops' Eye is already 3x the length of ST & shows no sign of ending. It's adult, not teen. I posted some beta covers here 9 months ago (linked below). The final image in the thread is the cover as it now stands. It was developed by juxtaposiing photos, then texturizing using filters. I'm mostly satisfied, but it still looks homemade. See why I'm curious about animation? If the eye were to glance back and forth, it could be riveting.

Hi Lynn/Virangelus -- Thanks for the link. When I finally wrap up my current WIP, it'll be fun to talk. Until then, keep up the good work -- WB

Thanks for the book suggestion Vira! Sorry I haven't taken you up on it before.

Sorry to intrude. Why don't you have him send a picture of his autograph via email, you can print it on clear contact paper and stick it into the book. I know, not as good as the real thing, but maybe...

I'm a grammar heathen. Guilty as charged indeed (yet I do respect the language, do not get me wrong!).

That really stinks in regards to the postage. I'm U.S. Based myself (though some would accuse this city of being more in Mexico). What if I was willing to front some of the money by buying the book and shipping it your way?

Hey Virangelus! Nice to touch base - and good on you for supporting the SFFWorld members like that.
Re: autographed copy, we have a slight glitch: my publisher (Another Sky Press) is based in Portland USA, whereas I'm in Tokyo... this means double-postage international style if we try to organize signed copies (ouch! Tyranny of distance alert). Ridiculously I only have 2 copies myself.
However, if you go directly through Another Sky the trade paperback is extremely cheap ($4.74 + postage), and if you live in the States that's the cheapest. Plus Another Sky usually throws in these funky, cool bookmarks.
Hopefully it's your cup of tea. I suspect it might be - particularly in the way I treat some of those tired old grammar "rules"... ;)

No worries. Nothing really lessens the impact of losing a loved one, or learning that it's inevitable but the best you can do is make the best of what time you have left.
