Are there any fantasy web series out there?

Does anyone have any recommendations for fantasy web series?

Most of the web series that I am coming across are comedy, with a dash of sci fi and horror, so I wonder if it's harder for a fantasy web series to get off the ground (e.g. it takes more time to get into the story, it's harder to make each segment stand alone, and so forth). I'd love to see some examples of other people's work!

Yeah due to the length of a lot of source material and the necessity to keep web material short, I imagine it would be difficult to convert one to the other. But this is an interesting request, I'm going to snoop around the web as well and let you know if I come up with anything.

    Another fantasy webseries I like.

I'm really enjoying the flash animated fantasy series Doraleous and Associates, it's really funny and it's available on the escapist magazine website.

    Cheers,
    Travis

P.S. We'll have episode 12 of Spellfury out real soon :)

Riese is pretty cool, I did like it when it was available, they used to have all their episodes on youtube but then they yanked them for a year and now there back up on syfy but I can't watch them, they're geoblocked (only available in a certain country). I've used hotspotshield before but it slows my computer down and it becomes annoying and it's technically illegal. The irony is Riese is made in Canada but you can only "legally" watch it in the states. Just like the new season of Prom Queen is made in the States but only "legally" available to watch in Canada. Geoblocking is a real problem, if it's online everyone should be able to access it.

Our fantasy web series "Spellfury" will never be geoblocked!
We're having a fundraiser for season two at (85 days left):

    I love D&A! :D

There's a webcomic called Looking for Group, but I think it might be best suited for someone who's a fan of tabletop/computer gaming in fantasy settings rather than a fan of fantasy literature - Mind you, I think The Guild has an MMO theme to it.

The Guild is amazing. Started watching it on the web, then noticed it was on Netflix.ca so watched it on the big screen instead.

My wife and I both loved it.

But probably not a "fantasy" web series since it is about gamers playing a fantasy game.

I didn't really like the Guild the first time I watched it, I then tried the 10 day trial of World of Warcraft, watched the show again and then I rather enjoyed it.

The mind's eye trailer looked sorta cool.

We're trying to raise funds so we can do a Season 2 of Spellfury at:

    Sci-fi series

I don't know if someone has already posted these:

1)I like this one. It's called Kirill:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3_6K8RNcUl8

2)There is a series with Rosario Dawson called Gemini Division:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o82tzXTCBfc

    3) And I have recently found this upcoming sci-fi/mystery/action project.
By their poster and marketing campaign, it looks that this will be something interesting. It is called 'Overturn.' Here is a link to their poster: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=169187286425797&set=a.169187249759134.41187.166689270008932

    and their fan page:

    Hope this helps!
    Dan.

Hi guys... Even this topic is a little outdated, I couldn't help registering and replying. We just launched a web series that touches on the ridiculous when a giant phantom rabbit moves in with two guys who are strapped for cash. While I wouldn't consider it hard-core fantasy, it certainly delves into fantasy. It is surreal, a little bit mythical and really strange.

I hope a few of you trickle over to our youtube site and check it out. Episodes 1-3 are up, and 4 & 5 should be up tomorrow.

I would love to hear feedback from anyone who watches!

    Kindest regards,

Sarah Fitz and the makers of Phantom Rabbit Hitman.

This is a GREAT question and one that I was asking myself, not to mention posting all over the web about it. I never got a really great answer. A friend of mine and I decided that instead of whining about how hard it is to find good fantasy web series online, we would try to address the problem ourselves. We've started a new site at www.fantasywebseries.net. Our goal is to find all the best fantasy web content and put it together in one location in a clean and organized format to make it easy for fans to find and watch and easy for creators to promote and get the word out on their web series. We've already archived dozens of series and hundreds of episodes of really awesome webisodes. The focus is fantasy content, although we will stray a bit for certain series if they're particularly good. PLease head over, check it and let us know if it answers your questions. It's a labor of love by people who make no salary and it's a work in progress, but I really think it will.

    Hi Sarah,
Thanks, we're putting a lot of work into it right now trying to get it going. Your series is a little wide of what we're trying to do, but I think it's worth posting since it interesting and very unique. If you don't mind, I'd like to run the first few episodes and write reviews for them.

    Hi Sarah,
We've all watched the series and enjoyed it. I'll be writing reviews for some of the non-fantasy series in the coming weeks. We'll be launching a network of sites, sci-fi, comedy etc. We'll probably end up reviewing yours on one of those. When I have the review of the first episode done, I'll send it to you.

Let me know how you would like it categorized so I can try to get the best fit for the videos. Leave a comment at the link below with a link to episode 1 as well as a short descriptor of how you see the series. Or if the series has a homepage, link that.

    We Are Angels

I'm doing one that I'm trying to get off the ground that's fantasy based. It's called We Are Angels. It's not religious based. I want it to appeal to everyone despite their beliefs. It is a modern take on Angels and Demons. Angels cannot survive on Earth very long so they only come down to help people in desperate situations. They must travel to find the one they must help. And when they do they sacrifice themselves for that person. On their journey they confront various demons who want to keep the humans in pain. The series will lead into a bigger storyline as it progresses.
I'm hoping it can appeal to people who are looking for something different out there.
    Currently it's in pre production
