    Thanks! I plan too. :)

Hubby has agreed to come with me. Yikes! I'm a bit nervous as he really isn't into fantasy/sci-fi, but he is a Kiwi. Even if he was born before NZed became Middle Earth, I'm sure it's in his blood. ;)

My con appearances for the next two months.

Gaylaxicon / Outlanta 2011 in Atlanta, GA on May 13-15, 2011.

WisCon 35 in Madison, Wisconsin, on May May 26-30, 2011.

ConCarolinas 2011 in Charlotte, NC, June 3-5, 2011.

I'm a dealer at Gaylaxicon, a volunteer at WisCon, and just an ordinary mofo at ConCarolinas.

    Jim,

If you (or anyone else here) is going to Confluence, find me and say hello. I'm usually a friendly chap.

    When Worlds Collide

I'll be at When Worlds Collide in Calgary, Alberta on August 12-13. It's my first Canadian con, so I'm looking forward to it.

    Hi Jon,
Going to the Con would have been a last minute thing and I just can't swing it.

It has been too long since I've been to a Con. Looks like the next one I'll get to is a Local con in Montreal this October.

Ah, too bad. You missed a good one. This was my first time to Confluence, and I was very happy I went. It's a more intimate convention than I've ever seen. The guest of honor was Robert J. Sawyer, who was terrific and very friendly.

    Maybe next time.

Next con for me: DragonCon in September.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I love small cons. I've seen Rob Sawyer several time at cons and he is a great guest.

Maybe I can swing it next year.

    Jim.

DragonCon was awe-f***ing-some. I wrote down some of my best memories in my blog (and included a photo of James Marsters signing a book for my wife):

I'm going to the EMS (Entertainment Media Show) in Earls Court 1st October.
Got a photo shoot booked with the legendary John Hurt.
I'll be dressing up again as SK, the GF is going as Hitgirl.
Should be a laugh if I can bear the "Are you Van Helsing?" question all day long

    Austin Comic-Con

Never been to a Comic-Con before, and now I'll be in Artist Alley (table 2117) at one. Gonna be fun!

I really enjoyed Eastercon when we went in 2008 but haven't been since! I find cons an awkward affair until I sit and listen to panellists chatting and then it is fantastic. It was great to meet Hobbit at Sfxweekender, which is a more likely bet in the future as it is cheap and cheerful! Will have a think about world fantasy con. Do let us know how Eastercon goes Holbrook.
