Alright, taking my first foray into SciFi in about twenty years. Based on recommendations in some threads, I've gone and purchased the Night's Dawn Trilogy by Peter Hamilton. With the recommendations I've seen, it seems like I can't go wrong with this purchase.

    Thanks all :)

Dragonfall 5!! I'm so jealous. I loved those books when I was a kid. Basically a childrens tale of a family owned rundown space ship and the adventures experienced by the family. I think the space cowboys rode flying bikes that looked like dumbells.:)

The Gap into Conflict: The Real Story
The Gap into Vision: Forbidden Knowledge
The Gap into Power: A Dark and Hungry God Arises
The Gap into Madness: Chaos and Order
The Gap into Ruin: This Day All Gods Die

    All from Stephen R. Donaldson.

Edit: Couple of days ago, bought Foundation trilogy omnibus from sfbc. I hate to be the target of rotting food product, but this will be my first excursion into Asimov.

I've got a copy of this one, too. It looks interesting, though I'm not sure when exactly I'll get to it.

Stopped by a B&N today, as requested by Mrs. PW, for stationary. In picking over the Bargain Priced books, I picked up four. I got a classic, a fantasy fiction novel and two sci-fi pick-ups.

    The Wilding - Friedman
    The Armageddon Reef - Weber

I think Mrs. PW needs you to shop for stationary at Office Depot, so you don't add to your to be read pile. Of course you could always wind up buying a new shiny computer or stapler if you go to Office Depot. So maybe BN is a better place to shop for stationary.

Amen, brother. I'm going to have to start taking pictures and putting them in the bookshelf picture thread. I'm waiting until I get somewhere near Mark's level of books. Uh, probably won't be too soon.

I got given Watchmen (it is Sci-Fi!) and PF Hamilton's Pandora's Star.

Might actually drop everything I'm reading for it, been waiting a fair while to get a copy of it. Well, once I've finished Watchmen of course, which I'm loving :D
