About 30 years ago I remember reading a book and I believe it was written by a woman, about a symbiotic spaceship that had a females name. The ship was ran by a misshapen human that had been hooked up to power and navigate the ship. I thought the name of the book was something like "A ship named....." or brain and brawn( as the ship was matched with a very muscular human male.)

At the time I picked this book I was avid reader of Robert A Heinlein's novels and am sure that this book must have been located near his section at the local library.

If anyone can give a lead on how to find this book again I am dying to read it once again. Thank you for your help.
