Okay, start talking, Wass-man! Have you got a scheduled release date yet?
Yes, I do. April 2007. It's supposed to be out pre-pub in December. I hope Windstorm is on schedule. I was a few weeks late with the final draft. But I hope it was worth it.
Nice! The whole thing really seemed to shift gears in book 3. Do you know if the cover art will be by the same artist?
It is by the same artist. I posted it somewhere on my forum, or a link to it at least.
The cover is AWESOME!
Here it is: http://www.sffworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14113
Wow. Just wow. That guy is a screaming mega-talent. How fast can he work? I mean, I'm just thinking of the kind of graphic novel this guy could produce, I mean images like that could put Alex Ross to shame!
I just changed my wallpaper for the first time in 2 or 3 years.
Glad to hear that. Frankly, I did the same thing! It's my wallpaper too.
Robert illustrated a book by Steven Savile last year, a beautiful, small book, much like a film noire or dark comic. I urge you to buy it if you enjoy his art. Steve is a great writer of dark fantasy and horror.
I'll try and remember to order it tomorrow.
I'll have some artwork with me at WFC next month by Robert. He's sending me some things to display on his behalf. He's so good, people need to know about him.
There's a chapter posted from my newest book on my blogsite here:
You've got a blog! How often are you posting there?
That cover ROCKS! I can't wait to reserve my copy of Book 4! I've been itching to see what happens ever since you left me hanging with book 3!!!!
Hey Maus! I haven't been posting there at all. It's more for information than it is for me to chronicle my thoughts. I'm not great at talking to myself outloud.
Book IV will be out in April if everything is still on schedule. I was a little late with the final manuscript. The editing process this time was very different - a new editor!
Harumph, I will go read the chapter, but couldn't you drop a few hints as to plot? The path of some of the characters?
Everything's spinning and spinning, dangerously close to the edges. Lot's of uncertainty along the way. But Davmiran is learning how to fight, to think and to use his power. Tomas is riddled with doubt and can't find his way while Colton grows bolder by the day. The Sisters are discovering strengths of their own. Yet even so, the Lalas have an agenda that none understand and it's creating unusual alliances.
