Yes, but as I've got The Gift and The Riddle in the map-background picture front thing, I think I like that style better, loads of books have that predictable cover and that one is different, ergo 'tis better.

heres the blurb for the crow(in spoilers just incase no-one wants to see it)

Whilst his sister, Maerad, pursues her dangerous destiny in the frozen North, Hem is sent south to Turbansk for his own safety. But soon the forces of the Dark overrun the great city and Hem flees with his mentor Saliman, his white crow Irc, and a young orphan girl Zelika, to join the resistance. He agrees to help fight the Nameless One by spying on the child armies of the Dark. But, in the Light's underground base, Hem has a vision - he too has a part to play in Maerad's quest for the Treesong...

does any one else think that thats blurb has quite a lot of spoilers in it......... im not complaining,( cos i want to know!)........ but ....... could the people not write one that didnt give away the fact that turbansk is overrun, hem, saliman and zelika surviving, hem spying and having a vision! blimey! why didnt they just tell us the vision and the ending!

The Australian blurb is

"The earth is poisioned by a deep wrongness and the forces of the nameless one grow ever stronger. The Treesong- the key to restoring peace- is lost, and only Hem's sister, Maerad, can unravel it's mysteries. While she seeks answers in the north, Hem is sent south to Turbansk with his guardian, Saliman. Troubled and unhappy, Hem is haunted by his bitter past and uncertain of his future, as evil forces threaten to destroy the city. But his destiny may be may be linked more closely to the Treesong than he knows...

The Crow is an amazing tale filled with extremes of horror and beatuy, set against the unforgettable landscapes of Edil-Amarandh. This third book in the highly acclaimed Pellinor sequence, follows Hem's perilous journey- aided by his pet crow, Irc- as he spies on the child armies of the dark."

hmmm, it is slightly less spoilerish than the british one...

Of the two, i have to say i like the Australian version better, especially the way the orange of the sand and the blue of the sky offset each other, and the robed man/woman/being seem's so mysteriously enticing.
