the english covers have maps on them. i like maps for some absurd reason. :D don't ask. im just wierd.

i love the maps, they make it so more realistic within your imagination (does that make sense!? :confused:) plus im constantly referring to them :)

The aussie covers have the maps on the inside

I prefer the English ones too! I think part of the reason if that there are no figures or people and so it's so much easier to keep my image of what i think people look like, and it just seems more fantasy-full, instead of drawing parallels with realy life. And also they're just plain stunning, and really soft on the eye, but they're still striking!
I like the fact that books have different covers in different countries though, because it means you can chose the one that you like most! I somtimes order books from America because they have nicer covoers....but maybe that's just me...

nope! i do that as well! when i don't like the UK cover i go online and buy another one with a better cover. lol:D

lol i do that aswell!! Its wierd but i find some of my favourite books all have maps!:eek: :rolleyes: I dunno i just like them, it makes you feel as if they're on a quest or something. I always go back and look at them:D I love the colours on the books as well; theyre really bold.

What I love about the maps is that it makes it so much more real. Like there is actually a place and the mountains are here, and this is the river, and it's like looking at a map of a real live place!
And yeah, the whole following the route thing. Funfunfun! *grins*
