Yeah I totally agree with that!!
The UK covers are brilliant and I love them! And I know you should never judge a book by its cover but the thing that first attracted me to reading the Gift was the cover. :p

Personally I prefer the Aussie covers because I think the UK versions make the books appear to be more of a fiction, unrealistic type of thing (and i know this makes absolutely no sense to anyone, since the books are fiction but i'm trying to pick what i say very carefully so i don't offend anyone), where as the aussie versions look dark and mysterious, and since they are like photos, not painted or whatever the UK ones are, it adds a sort of "feel" to it, kinda like suspense and mystery and you sort of don't know what to expect... haha i just realise that makes no sense to anyone but me

Yeah, photos are generally the best, IMO - for The Gift and The Riddle (aus versions) the concept is good, but IMO I don't actually think it's carried out that well. A little more photoshop-ing would never go astry. ;)
Then again, I am 'the picky one'... :D

Well, I love the UK covers, I think they are pretty cool. They are very original anyhow.
