I much prefer the UK ones, but then again, everyone's got different tastes, but the story is all the same, so it doesn't matter that much, becuase I'm sure everyone here LOVES the books, right peeps? :p

My parents won't let me buy the flipping books, 'cause they said I already read them , when I took them out of the library, and for over two months(for the Gift anyway), I'm still clinging onto them...

Anway, they just don;t understand that some books are so good, you have to keep a copy. I've read the books three times now, I think, and I still always find bits and pieces that surprises me and are lovely about it. Ah, well, next week, hopefully I'll be going shopping again.
*mutter to self* time to check out the piggy bank!

Lol, last weekend when I went shopping, I spent bout £40 on clothes, so I'm a bit skint...but I told my parents that I'd rather buy The Gift and The Riddle rather than the new Harry Potter book (half-blood prince one), so...that's a pretty persuasive argument, right? :D

I like the UK covers because they look so clean and elegant. I also love running my fingers over it and feeling the bump where the brooch or the lyre are (I'm not sure how to explain it).

I haven't seen the Australian book covers in bookstores yet, though.

Alison has posted them at the start of this thread if you didn't know what they looked like.

Oh thank you! :) I can't really tell if they look like photographs from here, though. It would be nice to see them "in the flesh". Sometimes book covers look better off-screen than they do on-screen -- and other times it's vice-versa! :p

Lol, don;t worry, Gemini, I would probably buy the HP books anyway, a while after they come out, so the prices gets cheaper. If I really can't contain myself, I'll just ask one of my friends for their copy, which some of them are bound to finish in less than a week.
That solves the problem, doesn't it? :D :D :D
