Knowing the kind of intelligent, resourceful people I find all over this site, I am hopeful someone can help.
I recently resurrected a short novel I wrote some time ago, and have started re-writing it. But I have lost most of my back story. The majority of which is not a problem, but there is one part that I would like to have and I'm not sure where I got the information in the first place.
There is a Japanese folk hero named Kan Shin. There is a Korean folk hero with a similar name who may or may not be connected. I have found some evidence of these two online, but since I can't read Japanese or Korean I can't dig any deeper. (It takes a lot of work to run a phrase at a time through translation.com.)
In my story there is a character named after this folk hero, and want to be able to point back to his namesake. It's not a vital element of the story, but it would be nice to have. If anyone has any ideas, information, directions, please let me know.
Thanks in advance.
