SFFWORLD is well represented! I had my reading yesterday afternoon, the first one of the convention. Unfortunately, it was before most people were registered and settled in so it was not well attended (to say the least), but my loyal friend Scott Bakker was front and center, and that made it worthwhile. Scott read at 9 pm to a friendly and lively crowd. Earlier in the bar, we had picked up Matt Stover and his wife and Michael Stackpole who had all just arrived and they too came to Scott's reading. Kevin Radthorne and his wife Lise got in just after Scott was done.

In an hour our panel on Good vs. Evil: Philosophy and Fantasy, begins. Though we couldn't get Matt on the panel due to scheduling difficulties, he will be a lively participant from the audience anyway.

I will keep everyone posted as to the events as they unfold.

***IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT***

I got a new puppy yesterday! Arkedy's Kiefer Jemar. Kief is his nickname. He's an 11 week old Tibetan Terrier. TTs were bred by the monks in Tibet originally and they were said to be good luck. They kept the monks company during the solitary times on the snow laden mountains, and they were never sold, only given as gifts.

Kiefer is 12 pounds, black with a white stripe on his chest, a dab of white on the tip of his tail and on the toes of his left hind foot.

He's already my best friend.

Congratulations! I expect to see him worked into a story in short order... :)

If anyone wants to read about my 'other' life, INC Magazine just published an article about me in their February issue. I haven't even seen the magazine myself yet, but someone faxed me the article. Talk about wearing two hats.....

Will the interview go online, Gary? Do let us know if it does.

I think the more hats the better...only problem is, we mostly only have one head...

Do we Alison? Sometimes I'm not sure of that.

It wasn't an interview actually. It was an article. Do you get INC magazine where you live? In the States it's a popular buisness magazine.

I should have used the opportunity to mention my books, but of course since I'm such a bad self-promoter, I forgot. Still, it's a very good article as far as business is concerned. I suppose that i could copy and paste it here somewhere, but I don't have a text file of it. INC has a website and their articles are online, though it's not out yet. It's in the February issue. The reporter sent me a pre-pub copy yesterday. I don't know whether or not you need to be a subscriber in order to read the articles on line. I'll check and post a link if you don't.

Yeah, I kind of realized that after I went to all the trouble to upload the jpg files. Tomorrow I'm going to scan the article again in a larger format so that you can actually read it. :o

I posted a new copy of the article so that you can now finally read it.

Sorry about that before.
