I recently became an avid reader apon coming across Terry Goodkind's Sword Of Truth series. I really enjoyed his descriptiveness, although repetitive at times, and creativity. As of now, I'm searching for a new fantasy series to get into, but don't know where to start (Chapters has two book cases of fantasy lol).

I'm also interested in books such as Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code. Basically, fictitious plots and characters with non-fiction elements. I also like John Grisham, if someone knows any similar writers.

And..I would like to read up on stuff surrounding creation, religion, cults and such..not your regular "this is how we came to be" theory; the things that will make your skin crawl if you get me :p. Also, the people that influenced those passings (i.e. biographies on them)..anyone who's unusually "interesting".

Anyways, if anyone could recommend a book or two, fiction, non fiction or a mix, I'd really appreciate it. My apologies in advance if I posted this in the wrong place..I'm at school and my brain is napping :D.

You want to look at the recommendations thread in the fantasy section for fantasy, and a scan through the site generally. There is so much here it is better to just bite the bullet and wade through it - go with what you know you like, there are threads on the Da Vinci Code and lots of other stuff if you do a search for specific books. Sorry, not much help, but then there is a wealth of choice which is always good!
