True. Very true. But still, Arkan has many... imperfections that keep me from being on his side...

So does Cadvan! But far fewer, yes...

I think Cadvan's imperfections are one of the things that makes him so great. It shows he's human.

First of all, I'd like to say to Alison that you have taken away several precious hours of my lifetime because of these amazing books. I'll never be the same, and believe me, that's a good thing!!

Second of all, I think Cadvan should be illegal in some countries because he's simply too amazing for most people to handle. :D

But really, all joking aside, I love the books and I especially love Cadvan. Will most of his history (if not all of it) eventually reveal itself throughout the series, or is he always going to be sort of a mystery?

Also, this may sound a little off topic, but do you have any songs or certain genres of music that inspire your writing? Whenever I write, music is a huge inspiration, especially when a song's lyrics and tune remind me of a character. Do you have anything like that? I would kill to hear some Cadvan or Maerad related music. :D

This question is open to everyone as well. Anybody have songs that remind you of characters or events in the books?

Oh! I do that all the time! I have so many songs that I associate with moments or characters in books or my stories.

have none of you bothered to even look at the first page of this thread? Clearly not since if you had you would have found a few posts detailing Cadder's history. Written by Alison herself...

okay after a quick search there a couple of posts on page 1, another on page 4 and another on page 7.

enjoy

I did read the first page, actually. Yes, it listed his history but I suppose I want it in more detail. What was he like? Who were his friends? What was his favorite subject? Was he ever 'involved' with anyone other than those we already know about? Trivial things like that.

Thank you for that pleasant reminder, it's so nice to have someone friendly and understanding help out a new member such as myself..

Actually Bridie, I read the entire thread.
