Cadvan's Thread (spoilers for The Riddle)

Mrs. Cadvan

This is really Cadvan's thread, so I'll answer this under the Hem thread...

and point y'all to the Chattery thread, where you can go off topic as much as you like!

I'm with Alison. It's not a dictatorship here or anything, but the threads are specific to Alison's books and elements of her books. It's a bit inconsiderate to clog up threads that already serve specific purposes with inane and off-topic posts. Sorry to be a killjoy, but guys- there are a billion chatsites where u can go and talk about whatever you want. ;)

yes but maybe hes like that because hes worried that mearad will "go to the dark side" and hes just being a bit over protective which is why hes always quite angry/brooding when they are traveling. im not quite sure that makes any sense...

yes he could. maybe hes trying to hide his feelings by snapping at her... and yes mrs.cadvan is very quiet i wonder if we scared her away with our mindless off topic chat...

it wasnt a purposeful star wars thing i just thought id put it. but it would be funny if in the last book saliman or whoever goes "mearad i am you farther!" ha it would ruin the plot altogether but it would be funny... :p :D

LLOL Yep it would be very funny, but unfortunately Maerad's father is already spoken for and she saw him 'cut down', which is not actually a very nice image or way to go! Oh oh oh I know Maerad's mother was having an affair with Cadvan and that's why he acts all wierd towards her on the boat cos she reminds him of her mother and at the end he will go (in a Darth vadary tone of voice), "Maerad, I am your father!" And then Maerad will scream "NNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOO!!!" And then the lightsabres will come out and they will fight to the death...or until one of them cuts the other's hand off!!! LOL :p

*falls off chair cause was laughing too much!* yes that would be great but it would ruin the whole books plus i dont milana was the unfaithful type.

Maybe not...but Alison did say some where on here that it is unusual for Bards to be in couples and they have several different loves in a life time, maybe Milian had two loves at the same time! LOL only kidding, it is a bit unrealistic!

You wicked persons... I'd say that it would be pretty unlikely that Saliman is Maerad's father...

Not unusual for Bards to be in couples (Silvia and Malgorn and Milana and Dorn are two couples) but not necessarily the norm, either.

LOL, then he cuts off all her limbs except for one arm and leaves her to v v unconvincingly crawl away from a river of lava...

Of course then it could go very Days of our live-ish and Maerad could say "But Cadvan..... i'm pregant.... and.... it's yours...." then Cadvan's head whips around and he stares that day-time tv stare right down the barrel of the camera and that music starts playing, then the voice over
"Will Maerad go to the darkside? Will she tell Cadvan it's actualy Hem's baby? will Cadvan take his revenge? Find out next time on Days of our Bards ..."
