Yea, thats what I thought..............well Enkir is evil, right? and does not like Cadvan, so why not try to get him killed!

:D I'm quite sure the Bards, being practical and all, had very sophisticated means of birth control. Quite possibly women could simply decide if they did or didn't want to fall pregnant... (a knowledge now sadly lost).

How convenient. :D

I was curious as to what Cadvan was doing, and on who's orders, while sniffing around the Landrost when he got caught before the beginning of 'The Gift/Naming', and if you could give us an idea of what kind of cool trick he pulled to get out of such a sticky situation?

Cadvan was coming back from Zmarkan, where he'd been checking out what the Winterking was doing, and quite possibly was attempting to find out what the Landrostw as doing as well... as for your second question (erm, cough, shuffles around ancient documents) - I don't seem to have any records on how he actually escaped...I'll have to research that one... :p

I'm not sure I described Saliman's hair in The Gift - but I do in The Crow. It's long - I imagine past his shoulders - and he wears it in braids. And of course he is completely gorgeous. Sort of like Adrian Lester in Peter Brook's Hamlet - mobile, expressive face; graceful; wicked wit...

*dies* I always pictured Saliman with a shaved head. But I can picture him with braids pretty easily, now that you've said that.
