I really liked reading about Cadvan in the Singing chapters.
I especially like his teasing of Maerad!

You gotta give it to him...he knows how to make a girl feel comfortable-
NOT! he makes things sooooo awkward!!!!

lol Borat:rolleyes:

You know with the HAIR TUCK... I presume everyone knows what I am refering to >>>

if not ignore this bit

>>Cadvan does feel 'tenderness' at many points in the books ie Rachida and before he

dies

in the cave when Maerad says that she wants to get the hell of the mountains in the Riddle

He does have feelings, which I know to be quite shocking!

alison said that Cadvan has deep feelings for Maerad but he doesnt approve of them within himself.....

Let me go find the quote!!

I'll have fun finding out... But to be serious for a moment, Gemini is quite right that if A Certain Event did happen (which I for one really don't know, even if this is one world in which I might really be God) it would have to happen in the right way. There would be nothing worse than the kind of thing that happens with cheesy violin strings rising up behind, close ups of flickering fires (you know the sort of thing) and a sudden clinch fading to - er - whatever. My only feeling is that, whatever goes on in that relationship, it has to be quite real, and evolve out of whatever happens, and from who those people are. And being Maerad and Cadvan (remember that Cadvan calls Maerad "Maerad the Unpredictable"!) it's a bit hard to say.

I will say (feeling chatty tonight, and thrown out of the room where we usually chat by my kids and their friends, who are watching a Vincent Price movie) that I'm pretty sure that Cadvan has quite deep feelings for Maerad. But I don't think he really approves of them within himself.

I hope that they are together forever!!!
