I like that idea.
No no, I didn't mean it as a flute solo lol
Kay, so (I'm a music junkie, lol)
We have a steady beat from the drums
If we have a violinist (or a few) they could play the scenery. Like, their melody is like the tale. And we'd have a harmony of strings that are pretty much going to play the song. (Do you get what I mean? lol I'm not too great at explaining am I?)
And for each instrument, they play a different character, depending on the instruments we have.
Like - Flutes playing in harmony together, playing Cadvan (or Arkan) and Maerad etc? Clarinet - Hem, (I dunno if a clarinet suits Hem, I'm just exampling here) Trumpet - Landrost etc?

One could be a tenor part (i think Cadvan's voice is described as tenor or bass?) and one could be contralto part and it's like a harmony, and then one part they can play the same melody (in the same key) you know? Actually, it'd probably end up being more soprano/alto if we both play the same flutes... the standard one in C?

Yeah.

BTW, I have a student-level flute, so it's nothing expensive or fancy, I don't know if that will make a difference. I believe the brand is Gemeinhardt.

And once again, I'm thirteen, so I don't know much about the technical aspects, but I have vibrato and a very nice sound. But I'm guessing that this composition probably won't be too complicated or go beyond my abilities.

And if it's alright, I would prefer doing the lower part; I think my low register sounds rather nice. Once I get my flute, I'll post a link to a recording of my playing, and you can judge it how you want.

Yeah, that'd be interesting. But the flutes probably shouldn't play throughout the whole thing, that'd get really boring.

lol of course not. It'll be a pellinor symphony.
And I was thinking we'd have i dunno... the strings or maybe a guitar solo, where they play the first part of the lay of Adomian and Beruldh. It'd be complicated and beautiful together, but easy for each person to play their part.
Flutes are even going to be the main aspect silly :p this is a whole series thing, there will be a time where they're silenced :p :D

I for one are glad you guys have brought the life back to this thread, atleast for now.

This has begining to give me (a pretty bad) idea. If there is a movie, maybe it should try to have, atleast some of, the music (especially since there is some that is already started.) If so, it could be even more extended to the moment where thre music hardly ever stops(like in bambi). And so compose music for nearly the hole story.

should this also go under the movie thread? Maybe.

Well it's just a thought.

And Mikotenshi, I haven't played sax. in over a year and a half so I'll be no go.
