lol, glad you've found this thread again.:D
I think its a real shame dernhil had to die, but then again if he hadnt i dont think there would be a hope for M+C!

anna, i think that point is debatable. even if dernhil hadnt died, maerad was still travelling with cadvan and with almost no way of communicating with dernhil. dernhils death didnt really affect what they did in their travels, i believe, and so they still would have done all that they did, leading to the same results such as (riddle spoiler) the boat scene . i think that his death must have some greater significane either to maerad's emotional development (apart from what has already happened) or to the plot because you cant just kill off Dernhil!!

If dernhil was still alive....I'd rather M+D than M+C...I think Derny is just better..and would be a better relationship 4 her

yea i no that she would still have to travel with cadvan , but i think there might have been a chance of her going back to him when its all over!
