that's a point. we don't know much about the flexibility of the Gates though, so maybe it is possible.

Ya Derny does seem to be pressent. And if he does help Maerad from passed the gates it could be a great advantage.

yeah, and maybe dernhill could talk to people for example the seer from the house of karn who wrote the propechy about the Fated One. What's his name again??
But does it say in the books what the bards think happens after the gate?? do they think that it is like earth or what??
some body fill me in on this please.
the saddest part about dernhill's death is that he died so early and Maerad didn't have the time to get to know him really well... I hate it when people die in books (like in the 6th harry potter). :(

Well I dont know what then guy's name is and I would check but The Naming/ The Gift is the only Pellinor book that I dont have so...:(

And I dont think that Brads know what happens past the Gates, Alison can you tell PLEASE.

Truely I only care is people that I like die. Why Dernhil, why. But if I dont have much positive fellings for them I dont really mind that they're gone.

I have an out-of-state friend that is a lot like Dernhil. But he's a little more dark and mysterious. I like Dernhil though, he's a great character.
