i think i've fouhnd who Dernhil might look like. close but not quite but i think he, in some aspects resembles, Rob Campbell as Reverand Hale in The Crucible. but only in minor aspects. I'm trying to find a pic of him in that role but it aint easy. sorry cant find a pic anywhere. but if u see the movie or read the play u might get an idea. heres Rob Campbell's profile pic but thats all i could find.

Wasn't Clavia person Silvia's daughter? And i always thought that Dernhill and her had had a thing for each other, or else why the love poems addressed to her?

Hey Leonie

yes Clavia was Silvia's daughter but she died of an unexplained tragic accident yonkles ago. thats why Silvia becomes so close to Maerad bcoz it reminds her of Clavia and wat it was like to have a daughter. As for Dernhil and Clavia thing? i dont recall anything but i'll have to re-read The Gift to find out. mayb Alison can enlighten us? . . . .

In fact she already has  man, she's fast these days :D , anyhoo
a while back on this thread, or another i can't remember, Alison said that Dernhil and Clavila had been good friends but thats all, and i think she mentioned that Clavila died after falling from a horse  i'm not sure though...
