Dernhil Thread

So I need to figure out what this family will be like; I'm thinking a bunch of trappers that live in near the mountains. It would make sense because of the trap.

Mother, father, aunt, two kids of any gender. All hardy, the parents are a little distrustful of strangers but not much, all very funny people.

(Random suggestion )

Isn't that the typical thing, though? I like the idea, but I want it to be somewhat original

What about a Pellinor survivor and the family they've since created?

I think that would make things a bit difficult; they have to be unknown- if Cadvan were to ask Silvia about it (which you could possibly mention in one of your chapters) she could just say she did send him away from Innail but she doesn't know where he is and if he is still alive.

If he travels and gallops and all that stuff and then eventually, because of his wounds, falls from his horse, perhaps the people that find him could bring him to live with them.

That idea is definitely promising, and yeah, the Pellinor thing could detract from Maerad's feelings at discovering Dernhil (or, to be exact, being discovered by Dernhil).

Well, perhaps a variation on the suggested family, then. Perhaps they plan on eating him first, and *then* decide to nurse him back to health instead.

Or perhaps I'm too tired to be making good suggestions. ;)

Well, then...lol

Hmm, I was wondering... What color are Dernhil's eyes? Are they brown? I can't find it anywhere in the book, but I get the feeling they're brown....

I think they're only ever described as dark, which means they're probably brown but could also be hazel or dark blue.

I have made like a short video that will eventually become a trailer for the story between Ellesta and Dernhil (for those of you who have been paying attention to the RPG). My apologies in advance to you, Maerad, because the clip I have here is part of her death scene.:o

But for Windows Movie maker, it's pretty good :D

It's not very long, but here it is.

I would love to hear what you guys think! =)
