I really liked Dernhil, why did he have to be the one who died.
i liked Dharin as well, why do the nice characters always die
I picture Dernhil as having a more gentle face than Cadvan and looking around thirty years old and i also think of him as being quite softly spoken.
I reckon Dernhils study was the best room, so many books.

Yes I'm with you here. I see him with a long face and wide grin and a lanky but graceful body. He's not attractive in the same way as Cadvan, but he certainly haa appeal.
I was so sad when he died, he was my favourite after Maerad and maybe even ahead of Cadvan at that point. :(

I see Dernhil as being tallish, being thin and having that "starving artist" sort of look...you know, reay thin and slouchy, but not in a bad way...sweet demeanor...long dark uncontrolable bangs...basically the same way the book describes him I guess! :D you know I feel horrible to say this but I didn't feel sad when he died  I don't hate him and I don't love him, y'know? :o and I was kinda put off by their last meeting, though... in the back of my mind I guess my shoulder devil was going:Yes! Now the way is clear for Maerad and Cadvan! HA!, and my shoulder Angel was going: Um...sorry I kind of agree with devil over there *whistles innocently* I think that Dernhil would have been great as a friend but not as a lover :D

whoooo thinks that Dernhil's true animal form is...a Lemur! :D :p not just because I like lemurs, but think about it this way:

He's really thin, kind of like a lemur. He's smart, like a Lemur. He's cool, like a Lemur. The list goes on and on... :D :p

I've gotten my hands on some smarties so I'm slightly hyper :D

I think Hugh Dancy would make a pretty good Dernhil. Anyone else agree?

yyyyyeah I think he would be good! I only imagined Dernhil as having kinda tanned skin and more elvan features...don't ask me why, it's kinda weird  Otherwise this guy would be perfect!

True, Lemur_Girl, he'd look hot all nice n tanned... Have you seen The Sleeping Dictionary? Hugh's really tanned in that :D*pauses to daydream...* Anyway...But wouldn't Dernhil be kinda pale, since he pretty much lives in his study?
