Any of you other posters ever check this show out? It's mostly a Canada thing but I heard you can catch it on BBC USA, although they have to censor it so much you can't understand what they're saying.

Anyways I love this show. It's like the ultimate send-up of documentaries/ reality tv. My favourite episodes are The Bare Pimp Project, The Green Bastard, What the !@#$ Happened to Our Trailer Park? and the one where Ricky defended himself in court and had to get permission to smoke and swear cuz he couldn't express himself otherwise.

If you've seen this show at all what were your faves?

The best monologue is Lahey's about Ricky and it ends with the term [Bleep] storm (the bleep sounds like pit).

My husband loves TBP because he actually grew up around people like that. We have the DVDs. I've watched most of the episodes with him. A lot of them are really funny, especially the first couple seasons...I don't find the new ones as funny though because basically it's the same situations over and over again.

I don't know the names of the episodes. I like the one where Ricky gets a job moving shopping carts at the mall. The one where he and Lucy are going to get married and he robs a grocery store to get hotdogs for the party. And the one where J-Roc puts on a concert and a rapper called "Detroit Velvet Smooth" shows up--from MONCTON! lol to ask why his songs are on J-Roc's album.

More than episodes though I remember favourite lines, like

"Damn you Julian those were the good chicken fingers!" (haha he was cooking the President's Choice chicken fingers from Loblaws which all Canadians know)

and "I was changing, man, I was changing!" (J-Roc) Classic.

Actually just about everything Ricky says is hilarious because he's so stupid and always uses words that don't exist. :D

It's a good show, really original, but not for everyone. I can't imagine how much they would have to censor the language to show it on American tv!

Sorry to brag, but I can't resist!

I love the show, LOVE LOVE LOVE. Here's the good part:

To make a long story short, about 6 months ago my family won a CRAZY radio contest in Vancouver. We won a whole bunch of cool stuff, but the single best part is that The Trailer Park Boys came TO MY HOUSE, and hung out for 45 minutes! I have a whole bunch of pictures with them, and they were SO cool.

Bragging over (sorry!) :D

We may have to switch avatars Agent cuz I just turned green as hell. That sounds awesome.

Is there any chance you could post some of those pictures? lol

Yeah Miri that one where Ricky was working at the mall was one of the ones I mentioned, that was the first one I ever saw with my little brother and we were laughing our asses off!

I hear you about getting repetitive, but they did have some pretty crazy crap in that 4th season, like Conky was pretty different from all the other episodes (and wasn't he a creepy little bastard?)

A good Ricky speech was in the second season when Trina was fetching him pepperoni and Ray (one of my favourites on the whole show) kept eating it.

"Well, my dad ate my !@#$in' pepperoni again. I came home for some pepperoni and it's all gone. Again. So you know what that means, Trina's just gonna have to go and get me more. She's already been to the store like 3 times today and it's gonna have to come out of her pocket. Like Dad doesn't care, he thinks he's just taking my pepperoni, but really he's stealing from a little girl and that's not cool."

I also liked the message he left Julian on the porno tape episode. "Well Julian, I was just calling to let you know that I'm gonna go over to Lahey's and break in and steal that porno tape, and I'm probably gonna kill Lahey. I'm thinking I'll probably have to kill Randy also. Bubbles is gonna come help me cuz we can't have this porno tape floating around man. Anyways, we aren't really smart enough to pull this off without going to jail so I wish you'd come help us and if you won't well I guess you'll just have ot live with the fact that you could have saved your buddies from going to jail."

I've seen some HILARIOUS episodes lately, that convinced me I should buy the DVDs. I'm not sure what season, though. I really like the one when Ricky goes to court (and gets permission to smoke and swear), and where they force Rita Macneil to help them harvest their pot. I also saw the Christmas special for the first time in December, and loved that one too.

And yes, that quote about the pepperoni is HILARIOUS!
