First, please go introduce yourself. Second, it's at the end of the last book

The Gift/The Naming, not the last book...

wow, my bad. I meant the end of the first book. What was I thinking?

I was thinking, and I wondered if I could make all of your brains hurt too.

I was wondering what the Pellinor universe would be like in the future. Say, 3000 years after the events in The Singing. Would they have technology? Will the young teenage Bards be listening to their uCapsules while walking past the Innail skyscratchers?

And also, how do you think they would use 'magic' to their advantage?

Wow. Actually, I think, if everyone adhered to the Balance, nothing would change. They would try and keep everything the same, and Edil-Amarandh really is a small place, at least, to our knowledge.

Technology might have developed, although I don't think as seriously as our culture has. We must remember that Pellinor is also an alternate universe. We really have no idea what would happen.

Actually, it's meant to be our universe ages ago...

Some of the appendices suggest that Edil-Amarandh in Maerad's time was nearly as advanced as today's, but they kept the balance.

I'm not certain, but I believe that with exploration, they'd find other civilisations and aid in advancing them. They may helped them survive the ice age, since didn't Alison say that this all took place before the last ice age?

Really? See, now I thought Edil-Amarandh was a totally different place, not Earth as it was ages ago. (fictionally, of course.;))

**gasp** We are all descendants of bards!!!! LOL!!!!

So, to answer the question, yes, I guess, with more information, now we know that they are advanced!!!

That's so amazing thta it's an alternate universe. I love to think that something amazing as that existed. :D
