I've just finished reading The Riddle, it's sooooooo good, but I wonder why Maerad and Cadvan didn't say anything about their feelings for each other at the end...hmm...
Anyway, Alison, how long does it take for you to write a book, usually? 'Cause I really cannot wait for the series to complete!!!

the first two took her around 3 months (or was it five  ) and the third which she has recentley finished took her around a year i think.

I know but I am just so impatient!!! :D
Don't you think that Maerad should have said something about her feelings (towards Cadvan, not the Winterking) whn she found him, alive, in Pellinor.
I mean, on page 222, in the lkast few lines, it said:
She had loved Cadvan, and he had loved her...
But i was a bit confused when (on page 223), Maerad said Cadvan had been, all at once, her father ,] and her teacher and her friend...

Oh, by the way, I got a question: why were Maerad and Cadvan unable to join their powers together when they were fighting the Iridugul at the Gwalhain Pass? It was never explained, or if it did, i must have missed it...

Well when I read that bit (where she said she had loved him and he had loved her) I got all excited and then when we had that debate kinda thing on here, people thought it meant something different, that she loved him more than just a friend, but not a boyfriend... or soemthing

oh... :(
that still doesnt explain why Cadvan never said anything...I swear that he loves her...all the tenderness that he'd shown etc. :D
Maybe it's just the author's way of making us wanna read on... teasing us...damn it, she's so good at it, lol

My questions:

1. why were Maerad and Cadvan unable to fight the iridugul at Gwalhain Pass with their powers joined together?

2.why didnt cadvan say anything about his feelings (which I'm sure he has) towards Maerad when he found her?

3.Is Maerad gonna be able to play her lyre again?

4.Is Maerad's hand gonna be restored to its original shape at the end???

Help! My head's exploding with impatient questions!!!
