hi newbie here!well i read the gift + just loved it.alison,u did a great job! :D i loved the bit where maerad collapsed in norloch + she had the dream,i really got angry,i felt her anger.it got me really frustrated + my mom + sis got really conserned,they thought something waz wrong with me!i really want 2 read the riddle but i dont hav enough money yet.though i think my mom might go get it cos she knows i really like it,+ when it finished i got so upset + she felt bad,so now i feel bad.anyway i wated 2 know some stuff bout the riddle,but not 2 much cos i want 2 get some surprises.1st,do cadvan + maerad kiss?!its really bugging me.also whats this thing ive heard bout a lion + a rabbit?plz help me out some1. :confused: :)

Alison, when you wrote about Cadvan's past in The Gift, did you borrow some ideas from the Earthsea story because they seem similar to me.

It could just be me going mad :rolleyes:

my Q is alison hav u read any david edding books,particually the belgariad,cos ur books remind me of them.well book cos i only read the gift,want 2 read the riddle but our library doesnt hav it + i dont have the mony 2 bye it,boo hoo! :( i want 2 say that ur book it s great,really sent my emotions whizzing.i really felt like the charater.i got really angry when we found out bout the 1st bard of norloch + maerad's mother,+ it really made my mum worry cos i looked like i wanted 2 rip some1 apart.anyway,back 2 topic,yeah,right,oh the david edding books,well u remind me of him,+ if uve read the books then u know hes like a legend,so take it as a big compliment. :) k so hope u can answer it soon,lov ...well,me!

Hi Pellinor Lover (love your alias :D ) - welcome. I just moved your question to the correct thread - I try to keep these stickies relatively well ordered -I'm glad you like The Gift so much, and I hope The Riddle comes your way soon!

In answer to your queries:

No, I haven't read David Eddings. And the names of the four books in the series are The Gift, The Riddle, The Crow and (yet to be written) The Singing.

PS Just a little note on forum etiquette - there are a lot of members whose first language isn't English, and who have difficulty reading textspeak, so mods prefer proper English...and try to keep on topic in the threads...if you post a question here, I will answer it: I'm pretty busy, but usually within a couple of days.
