After reading the Riddle it made me ever more sure that they would *hopefully* get together and that it would work!

I agree. :D Probably the biggest hint within both books is where Cadvan in effect tells Maerad he thinks that she is beautiful (on the boat). And we all know that a guy usually says that when he wants to jump you. :D :D
