I agree shes only 16.... i mean its not like we appove of 40yr old guys going out wif ppl our age do we???????? well i think there is more chance of Cadvan and Neri getting 2gether!

you must however remember bards have a longer life span so it would be quite likely that the two of them would possibly get it on! which would be very sweet but I fear the trilogy will conclude in the death of one of the characters after a night of passion!

Can I just reiterate the fact - to all those who think a relationship between M&C would be inappropriate due to their age difference - that no one ever comments about the great gulf in age between Aragorn and Arwen! When he first met her at the age of 20, she was already several thousand years old - howzat for an age difference?
Remember that Cadvan does not look like an old man, only about 35 - and that's not particularly old. In lateral terms, the non-believers really should consider that within the "medievally" (a loose term) setting in which the books take place, such an age gap probably wouldn't be considered weird anyway. Right, Alison? *nudges her hopefully* :D

i would really love Maerad and Cadvan to get together, but i´m not sure they will.
not because of the difference in age though, i agree with you mrs Cadvan, i think they have different standards...and maybe a difference like that isn`t tragic at all for bards...
dernhil after all told her that he loved her, and if i´m right nobody said that he was too old for her...
but still i doubt they`ll get together. i think that too much happened between them, and that maybe he is too much of a father and/or a teacher for her...

but hes taught her about how to live her life and he is the only man probabliy that she will ever trust completly

i`m not sure he`s the only man...maybe at the moment, but she`s only 16...I mean things can change...
