Hi everyone!

I'm new here... and just discovered The Naming. Unfortunately, as I live in Canada, I won't get to read The Riddle until May next year! *mourns* *is suffering* *is hoping Alison will tell publishers to get a move on, and maybe she could move to Canada while she's at it so that the books are published here first* :D lol.

I just wanted to say that I am a total Maerad/Cadvan shipper. Cadvan is HOT. Not just physically, too! And as Alison seems to be dropping hints in this discussion that they have a future together, I hold hope.

DON'T KILL CADVAN, ALISON!

On another note, you know what's rather ironic? I discovered this other series this year called The Chanters of Tremaris trilogy, also written by an Australian woman. I've read the first two books, but guess what - I don't get to read the final book until MAY NEXT YEAR. I forgot to add that this trilogy is also about a young woman who discovers she holds immense power... they use singing as a form of magic. They're great books, I highly recommend them. The first is called The Singer of All Songs, and it's by Kate Constable.

What's with all these good Australian authors and their books not reaching Canada til MAY NEXT YEAR?! ARRGH.

Sorry, that was a bit long. :o
