IMO i wouldn't put self sacrifice past Cadvan, he'd probably see it as the honourable thing to do, so in the end its all a matter of how the book plays out.

I dunno, it does say that they wrote an acount together after the events in the series, which would indicate that they both survive...although someone (and I can't remember who) said that the appendix says somewhere that this isn't certain. :eek:

It was me, and yes it does. In the appendix of The Riddle (i forget where) it says something along the lines of some reseachers believe that Cadvan and Maerad may not have writtten those books, i forget what the name was.
