Hey english girls, I'm english too, and am able to feel far superior to you lot *smug grin*. I was so desperate to read the Riddle that I pre-ordered it from Australia as a chrimbo prezzie, jsut so I didn't have to wait until May!! So maybe I'm able to say that I was the first english Pellinor fan to be able to read it, with the exception of Alison's english publishers of course...

I told you Peter was a brave man! :D Duck those pitchforks, Peter!

Of course Cadvan is important beyond being Maerad's (and many other's) love interest...he's a great mover of events. And still, to an extent, Maerad's guide.

And watch the spoilers...I guess it's hard to talk about the books with dropping the odd bottle. :o

woah did i join the thread late!
anyhoo m and c definately sould get together its like dah!obvious everyone's gonna go for that idea. M was abused when she was younger b4 C found her and he was the first man, well first person, she could trust really so... its kinda obvious she'd get attatched to him.
so yeah...sounds like a load of poo coming from a 15 yr old's mouth but yeah that's my opinion. :D

I was thinking today about the this whole relationship thing (mostly b/c we had a relief teacher in Geog and i couldn't be bothered doing the work). I remembered something the elidhu (Ardina) in the Waywood said.Crrect me if i'm wrong, but wasn't something along the lines of when you weary of this world or something come back to me again, or something like that. So i though Maerad may not get it together with Cadvan (or anyone else for that matter) and become some sort of hermitess in the woods...... eww that would be some sort of icky gray havens/ sailing to the undying lands thing wouln't it? You know, like Frodo,Maerad could sustain some sort of eternal wound in the battle with Sharma and only be able to find peace alone in the woods. (you know i hate that parting in LotR it always leaves me so depressed at the end of the book)

i think if the book ended like that id b pretty depressed 2. i dont think that would happen though because i think Maerad loves hem to much n hopefully cadvan to leave them. i think it could end with them rebuilding pellinor and maybe Maeread going to school there or joining the first circle.

btw -iv just finished reading the riddle n i thought it was a great way to end it .though i thought that Maerads relationship with the winterking was really twisted.i just hope in the 4th book its cadvan she falls in love with. hehe i think im a hopeless romantic at heart
