Hi everyone! I'm a newbie and a HUGE Pellinor fan! So here's who I think would make a great cast:
Zelika: Dakota blue Richards
http://www.imdb.com/media/rm2336200704/nm2301950

Hem: Skandar Keynes
http://www.imdb.com/media/rm1327404544/nm1342727

Cadvan: Shane Brolly or Gerard Butler or Ben Chaplin
http://www.imdb.com/media/rm588943360/nm0111274

http://www.imdb.com/media/rm123312640/nm0124930

http://www.imdb.com/media/rm4031224064/nm0001035

Maerad: Jessica Szohr (Gossip Girl)
http://www.imdb.com/media/rm414421504/nm1221906

Dernhil: Ben Barnes (Prince caspian in Narnia)
http://www.imdb.com/media/rm3203832064/tt0499448

Saliman: Djimon Hounsou (Eragon)
http://www.imdb.com/media/rm1785829632/nm0005023

Arkan:Oliver Goodwill who features in Evanescence Call me when you're sobre music video
http://s80.photobucket.com/albums/j188/miroku03609/Oliver%20Goodwill/?action=view&current=oliver.jpg

Oh and a great soundtrack to the movie would be Within Temptation's The Howling or See who I am

:)P.S: Alison, your books are a masterpiece! The imagery you use conjures up such magical scenery in my mind! I hope more people discover the Pellinor series!

Okay, LOVE Zelika, Hem, Cadvan, Dernhil, Saliman, and Arkan. I don't know about the three for Cadvan. I personally liked Shane Brolly and Ben Chaplin, but I don't know about that dude in the middle. He just doesn't look cadvany. (to me of course!)

Ummmmm...... Jessica Szhor?:confused::confused::confused::confused:

Why her? She doesn't really look like a Maerad. Or maybe that's just me......
Idk. She just doesn't look like the Maerad I had imagined.

Hmm, they're all actually rather good..... :) I think the last Cadvan was the best of the three, the Arkan is pretty good, the Dernhil is PERFECT (although we've sort of already come to that conclusion about BB), the Hem is all right, and Dakota Blue-Richards would be GREAT for Zelika, IMO, if she died her hair black and got a bit more tan. I think Zelika had medium-ish skin. Oh, and the Maerad wouldn't ecessarily be that bad, but I think she's a bit too old.

Oh, and welcome,FuzzWizzofnaz! :)

I didn't like Dakota Blue-Richards in the Golden Compass. I just wonder if she could act that part...she doesn't look like a Zelika to me either...

But I do like Saliman, Arkan, and Dernhil, of course. :D

The others I'm not sure about...will have to take a looksie again.

Oh yeah, I forgot, the Saliman would be good, but I don't think we should use the same actor from Eragon.......

Hey there!
My favourite for Cadvan is without a doubt Ben Chaplin, I loved him in the Sea Horse he's AMAZING!
About Jessica Szhor, yeah you're right, she isn't how I imagined Maerad either LOL! But she was the closest resemblance I could find, but personally I think Maerad should be an unknown. (I wish it could be me hint hint! LOL :D)

Well, no one really knows who he is...and Eragon actors/actresses aren't the same as, say, LOTR ones. Namely because Pellinor has been compared to LOTR and Tolkien's work, which is the main reason we "spurn" them. However, it has not, to my knowing resonated (or been compared) with any style of Paolini's. (forgive me if I spelled that wrong...)

hahaha Fuzz. Everyone wishes that. ;) Unknown is my vote as well though, whether it be you, me, anyone on here or some person I have never heard of...

however, take into consideration that djimon hounsou also played a supporting role in "gladiator" as well so people might remember him from there. He definitely is Saliman in my mind though, hence the pics i showed you guys a while back. :D

Very good job with finding these, personnaly though I see the guy you picked for Dernhil as the Winter king and I simply can't see Dakota blue Richards as Zelika, she's simply too pale in that photo, but the curiosity and persistance(sp?) she showed in that photo is Zelika in a nut-shell
