No? you dont think so? I think she would be a good actress, but you are right about the whole 'features' thing, something about her looks un-maerad.
What about...I really cant think of anyone else...

I can't think of anyone famous.... There might be a little B-lister that looks like her but no one i know of.... However today i was looking through InStyle and i saw a picture of Lindsay Lohan and her features looked about right but it was just a good picture Lindsay Lohan would be crap at playing Maerad I just don't think we should go there...

I know this girl's too old but I reckon her features are practically spot on, if you just dyed her hair she'd be the perfect Maerad type... well maybe not perfect but pretty close

no no no no! shes awful! and deffinetly no lindsy lohan or hilary duff (before anyone even goes there!). how about we move away from the main characters and think of the smaller roles like luikd and neri.

Mrs. Cadvan

NOOOOO! you cant drop someones ideas off the list  Its rude!! Besides there not that bad suggestions and I reckon half the guys that have been suggested so far have been old and wrinkly and unattractive at least Fab and Hayden are hot!!

*cough* Erm, yes...well, I guess that's a matter of opinion. But seriously, you can't have someone playing a character just because they're 'hot'. Do you really think Hayden Christensen and his shoddy acting could do any justice to the intensity and complexity of Cadvan's character?? And Fab...well, he's not even an actor, is he?

well... this debate (funny that it should be called a debate :D) is getting quite heated, isn't it?

IMO, Goran Visnjic would definately do the role justice and as for Hayden and Fab, well they were never going to be in my top 10 or any where near it for that matter.

Just reiterating what i've said before, if Evangeline Lily where a few years younger, she's 26,(I already know, don't shower me with replies saying "OMG she's way too ancient to be Maerad!" :D) i still think she'd do an ok job of it.

Ok no I agree Cadvan has to be a good actor but can't we just be shallow and go on looks? I mean these books arn't going to be made into a movie any time soon so judging on acting isn't going to make a difference so you might as well judge on looks, and you can't have an unattractive old fart playing Cadvan.

How about Hugh Jackman? He's good looking AND he's a good actor AND you can't say he's too young :D

Just look at his "rare, brilliant smile"

"Unattractive old fart"??!!!!! *cough cough* We're not referring to my favourite roughnut Mr Bean now, are we?

Hugh Jackman is a nice guy. (And he does have a lovely smile). But he's way too pretty. But I thought Viggo Mortensen, much as I like him, was too pretty to be Aragorn. So goes my taste in men. ;)

I've never thought of Maerad as conventionally pretty. Someone like the young Helen Bonham-Carter (http://www.themakeupgallery.info/images/character/ugly/merhbc5.jpg) maybe? The expression is right...

 Please tell me this is a joke? I wouldn't have thought she would be a Maerad at all... I know it's a little Mills & Boon to have someone beautiful as the main character but I would have thought Maerad would be a little more... umm... prettier? lol... such a cliche
And no offense to Helen Bonham-Carter....
