agreewing again. for these sort of movies you need to have a mixed cast. usually unknown talent playing main roles and popular playing more minor roles.

Which is why Emilie De Ravin would be perfect for Maerad, hardly anybody knew who she was, actualy i had no idea what her name was either until i looked it up on IMDb.

Mrs. Cadvan

Guys, lets quite this whole Hugh/Richard argument. Truth is, Richard just isn't a great actor, and most people dont think he would be appropriate to play Cadvan.

Besides, neither of them could outdo Hans Matheson as Cadvan. :p :p :p

Richard is an exceptional actor, thank you very much. Truth be told, it's Richard all the way and there is no way anybody is going to sway me.

eww Orlando...yeah he is a bit poncy, dont like him much.
Both Richard and Hugh and Hans...and just about all the rest of them are all good candidates! I think id be happy if any of them got to play Cadvan...but still *cough* Sean Bean... a ha! he can do voice-overs...ohh he can be the voice of Darsor!
