The Books of Pellinor as movies???

Well if that's all his character was supposed to do, how on earth do you know that he'd be any good at playing a character who does do stuff, and doesn't have the emotional complexity of a slug??

Sirion: Far be it from me to decide on behalf of everyone else (though it would please me to do so :D). I just think, having seen the range of Hans' acting abilities, and taking into account how shexy he is, that he would be ideal to play old Cadders.

Hmmm imagine that, in other shows you say?

And having said that, I could claim that Hans has absolutely no acting ability and it would have just as 'valid' as you saying that Richard has none, seeing as i have never seen Hans in anything.

In short, don't judge an actor based on a solitary performance and then say that they have the 'emotional complexity of a slug' (even if that was true and it isn't) when the character was meant to be played that way... just my two cents

Hello, everyone.
I'm officially tuning out of this conversation...

Well, why don't you research him on a Film/TV database, then? He's done some British TV, but its not a particularly impressive C.V...

And having said that, I could claim that Hans has absolutely no acting ability and it would have just as 'valid' as you saying that Richard has none, seeing as i have never seen Hans in anything.

Excuse me!? Have you not read my previous comments? I explained eight posts ago that I do not think Richard is a bad actor, just that there are loads more actors who could do better justice to the complexity of Cadvan's character. So get thy facts straight! :p

In short, don't judge an actor based on a solitary performance and then say that they have the 'emotional complexity of a slug' (even if that was true and it isn't) when the character was meant to be played that way...

Another misinterpretation of what I wrote. If you had read more carefully, you'd have noticed I was talking about the character, not the actor. I'm not shallow enough to judge the personalities of people I don't even know, thankyou very much. *crosses arms*

Oh Mrs Cadvan, i have an idea, lets reconcile this debate shall we? Agree to disagree, perhaps?

and BTW i have seen his IMDb profile and might i remind you it's the quality not the quantity that counts :D

so anyhoo, shall we all move on now...

Maybe we should discuss something different, like possible locations to shoot certain scenes?
