The Books of Pellinor as movies???

Ok, this is only if there was a movie.

I'd say Australia. New Zealand's actually another good place, but once people find out, they're going to be comparing it to LOTR.

Osidh Elanor - Great Dividing Range (it may not be that high, but with some special effects it can be almost as tall as Mt. Koscuiszco).

Weywood, Great Forest - Tasmania, lots of forests there.

Gwalhain Pass - Charlotte Pass, really cold over there.

Ok, post your ideas! I'd love to here what you've got!

I think that if there were going to be a movie, then it should be produced in either Australia, but it would actually be filmed all over the world. :D

Actually, if the entire quartet is made into a movie, then it could conceivably be filmed on all seven continents....That would be so cool! :D

Yeah...there are certain places that could not be filmed in Australoa. For example, Zmarkan. Our temperature isn't cool enough plus we don't have any glaciers :P

You're right, another place around the world would be good. New Zealand has the Franz Joseph Glacier, but again, no New Zealand or gossip of LOTR. I don't know of any place in the world where snow falls all the time on the plains. I don't know much about other geography around the world. And oh, I have another idea for the Gwalhain Pass:

Brenner Pass - It lies on the border of Italy and Austria, and it's a quite a high pass, not to mention cold too, just good for the Gwalhain Pass!

i definitely think it should stay out of new zealand, we dont want it compared to Lord Of The Rings. i mean, who are we kidding? the pellinor series are way better than lord of the rings, we just dont want the lotr movies to look like they were made in someone's backyard!n we are generous souls. :D

One word: Mongolia.

'Tis perfect. :D

If there was a movie made, most likely they'd film in the cheapest suitable location, like the Czech Republic.

don't want it to be cheap!!! Mongolia sounds good, but I think it should be filmed in LOTS of places to capture the diversity of edil-amarandh. :D (yeesh, that sounds lame) :p

How about the Himalayas Range for the Osidh Annova, Elanor and Nak? They're really high!

Ok, maybe that's impossible.:o

How about Mt. Koscuiszco in NSW, Australia? There may be only one Mt. Koscuiszco, but with some special effects there can be 100.;)

spot on the money Gemini! Mongolia and Czech Republic both excellent locations scenery wise but definitley budget wise. The recent film, The Lion, the withc and the wardrobe was of course filmed partly in the Czech Republic to great success.

But i also really like the idea of keeping it as Australian as possible. Tasmania is beautiful, as are a lot of semi-coastal areas of WA. Cant you guys imagine the valvaras wastelands shot out near Darwin? I know I can!:p

Can you show us from the States pics of the landscapes in Australia? :D:D:D

I have no idea what you're talking about....:o
