I'm new to this site and read over a lot of the posts, but forgive me if I bring up something already said!

If/When Maerad finds out her third name, do you think she will no longer be just a bard, but also an elidhu?

When she first meets an Elidhu in The Gift (before she knows her as Ardina), Ardina asks her to come away with her, mistaking Cadvan as Maerad's lover. Ardina (the wild Elidhu/figure) calls him 'human' and tells Maerad to forget him because he will die and then invites Maerad to join her: 'Come with me to your own kingdom'

Will Maerad become immortal if she uncovers her third name?

If so, we she return to see the Winter King after beating Sharma?

Will she have to go through some sort of ritual like she did to become a full bard and find out her bard name? (When she passed through the flame at the end of The Gift)

Maybe she will have to find Ardina to help her do so, or maybe another Elidhu will be introduced?????

And what about Hem?

In The Crow he spoke to an Elidhu who said that the prophecy was about a brother and sister... Will he have a third name too?

3 elidhus have been introduced so far-Ardina=air, Arkan=water and Nyanar=earth (well, i think so) one for each book so maybe in the singing a fire elidhu will be introduced and will help Maerad find her 3rd name/defeat sharma/play the Treesong

true...
Stellargaze, prehaps you should put spoilers around the bits that show the endings, so that people who haven't read the Riddle and the Crow dont have the endings spoiled. :D :D :D

You do spoiler warnings like this

[S P O I L E R] insert text [/ S P O I L E R]

just without the spaces!

I think that Maerad will have a long lifespan but not be a proper Elidhu.

it depends what she chooses really... but if she was either bard or elidhu she would live for ages if she doesn't die :( :( :(   saving the world. another possibility would be for maerad to give up all powers (and extended lifespans) which i think is quite likely.
for her 3rd name i think something translatable as approximately 'one who playeth/singeth (which?) the treesong' or ilion are likely possibities... but it might be something totally different.
for hem, i'd say one of his other 2 (will he have an elidhu name? Nyanar talked to him, so i'd say probably say yes could be healer as he is a healer. his Truename might be similar to Maerad's as their 'destinies are intertwined' , plus they're siblings.
