Maerad's Thread (Spoilers for The Riddle)

I think any of these could happen:

1) The teasers build up, but nothing comes of it. May have 2-sided small suggestive stuff. Both live.
2) The teasers build up. One dies. The other reflects on lost possibilities.
3) The teasers build up. As one dies, they realise their love.
4) One makes a move near the end. They realise their love, but decide to ignore it because of the danger. Then one dies.
5) Same as 4, but both live and get married/have kids in possible epilogue.
6) They realise their love late on. General affection and/or M-rated stuff happens. Both live.
7) Same as 6 but one/both die(s).
8) They realise their love, but it doesn't work oyut. They stay friends.

There are others as well, and Arkan's likely to intervene, but these are probably the main ones.

I don't think either Maerad or Cadvan are going to die in The Singing because at the end of the books, it shows that the two of them wrote a book together nearly 60 years after the events that started in The Naming/ The Gift.

this is a very deep, passionate, gorgeous book... if maerad and cadvan do hook up, I think it will need to be bigger than that. at least, that's what i hope;)

good point it'd be hard to write a book if your dead :p

iv been wondering we all know maerad has elemental blood right? well does this mean that she may well live longer than even a bard? obviously other people in her family in the past have probably had elemental blood but it seems to be much more pronounced in her and hem.

well just a thought :D

which brings us to my question Why is maerad or elidhu-ish then her mum or autn or granddad or any of her other familky members besides ehm. i was thinking that maybe it might be like aniken from star wars that she is actually sort of a half blood. if youve seen the first episode (or was it te second?) of starwars where obi wan kenobi and his mentor find aniken the kid and the mum explains how he was conceived

i think it might just be because maerad and hem are meant to lanorgil's (sp) prophecy. the elemental opportunely comes out so that they can help give the elidhu back their song. i don't know...
