Yeah, he looks like one!!! That pic is what prompted my sister to start calling him the "ragamuffin". It is SO annoying.

waahoo!

I haven't read it. I should probably order it from Amazon, but my friend is going to send it to me from the UK. I probably won't get it until the middle of september. But at least I won't have to wait until 2009

and i hate that pic. I repeat: I hate that pic. it ruins cadvan's sexiness.

::clears throat:::

Not that i never go offtopic, but this is Maerad's thread and I'm sure none of you want to be hit with the offtopic stick! ::hides from mods::: :D

Ah, the pellinorite withdrawl symptoms, how fondly I remember them...running about the house crying and throwing things..wasn't very fun and no one understood. (As i go off topic right after saying not to)

anyway, I picture Maerad as a mix between several actresses..I think alexis has the whole eye thing down pack though.

Hey, it's the off-topic CANE, and I own that!

Anyway, although she's not described that way in the books, I see her as having a kind, rounder face.

!!!!

by the light, my most sincere apologies:rolleyes:

This is going to seem random, but here it goes:

I can definitely sympathize with Maerad when she lost her fingers. As a musician, your fingers are everything, and I would be completely devestated if i lost mine, as i couldn't play piano!

she's lucky she's a bard though, and can use her magery to have "fingers of light"

I wouldn't be too happy if I lost any part of my body! I couldn't imagine a life without fingers *shudders*

You're quite right. However, she's not as physically impaired as most people would be, due to the whole "I-can-summon-fingers-of-light-and-you-can't-haha!" thing.

waahoo!

i think it is stupid that she can use magery... i mean what was the point of losing her fingers if she can make them with light? it would have made things a lot harder if she couldn't... and make the story cooler

Yeah, I think you're right. The sacrifice would've had a much deeper meaning if she couldn't turn her disability on and off. But then agin, she needs those fingers, doesn't she? And also, I've come to think of her love for Arkan as a sort of hinderance as well, and she can't be rid of that.

That's true, Arkan's love does hinder her.
