Well I'v ejust thought of an actress who would be my choice of maerad-outside of myself of course!-how about zooey deschanel- heres a link to her picture

I think I look like her though-and I'd do a much better job! :p

She has a rather large nose....

How old is Maerad again? I'm afraid I haven't got any books with me because they're packed up in moving boxes.
She's 16-17

Is Maerad going over to the dark side? In the begginning of "the Riddle" Cadvan continually hints about there being a darker side to Maerad and Ardina also tells her that her greatest fear may already be within her but after Cadvan "dies" in the Gwalhain pass there isn't another mention. Even when Cadvan and Maerad meet up again there isn't a mention. Does anyone else have any ideas?

I think it will be

needing to resist using her immense power for destructive purposes or for seeing 'just how much she can do'. She has a 'fierce joy' when she feels the extent of her power and it's easy to be greedy for more and more power.

But what will happen to Cadvan if Maerad turns evil? Do you think Alison would kill him off for good?

i believe that cadvan will stop her becoming evil

You might be right, i don't see Cadvan turning evil as well because of his past. I'm not sure he could keep Maerad from going evil on his own, they've had rows about it before. Maybe something will push her over the edge?
