No no no no no no no no no no no NO NO NO!! She is faaaaar from perfect she is ALL wrong if she played Maerad there is NO way i'd go and see the movie! Actually now i think about it I dont think the books should be made into a movie, because no matter who is picked as Maerad or Cadvan, there will be fans of the books who think that person is a bad choice and then they might be turned off the books all together

I totally agree with you there Siobhan! Sometimes books stay best as a book, as I've said in other conversations beofre. Because the realtionships in The Gift and Riddle are really complex, and very emotional, it would be very hard to express that on the screen, if you know what I mean, and that's just gonna totally ruin the romance in the book, which is the major theme.

Since you're all cr@ping on and on ARGH about "unknowns", what about Samara Harris? As far as i can tell from her IMDb profile she's never really been more than an extra, tho, she looks a tad too old (29).

Then there's Nadia Bjorlin, does anyones else find those eyes creepy? http://www.imdb.com/gallery/hh/0004294/HH/0004294/nadheadshot.jpg?path=pgallery&path_key=Bjorlin,%20Nadia

On second thoughts, Nadia might be a good choice for Ardina, she's got that whole ethereal beauty thing going on doesn't she?

maybe if there was a movie made from the books it could be an animated one maybe anime then it would just be voice overs and the image we wanted for the characters and places. im not saying thats what should deffinetly happen but it would meen that we could stop argueing over actors
