Nah, if Irc did poo on Maerad, Cadvan would probs think it as extremely funny, and Maerad might get in a mood, because its embarassing, but forgives them anyway.

Hey all, sorry to interrupt, but I just finished The Riddle and I have questions for Ms. Croggon!

Okies, I know I have emailed poor Ms. Croggon dozens of times, but still I have more question! Crazy, no? And since I have no clue how to work those smart spoiler box thingys, I'll just do a spoiler space.

Ms. Croggon, in The Riddle Maerad tragically loses some fingers, due to frostbite. Is there any chance (like in The Singing) that she'll magically get said fingers reattached? (Not the word I was looking for, but hopefully you get the gist)

She gets fingers of light.

Alison is away until the end of July, so she probably didnt have time to answer your questions!!!!!!

Okies, now the blonde (that would be ME), has another stupid question thingy, in response to Becks answer.

Maerad gets 'fingers of light' when she's in her full powers, yes? If that's the case, when is she in her full powers?

I'm rereading The Riddle but, am only in Busk, as I get more out of a book the second time.

Thanks! Caits

I think that she is in her full power when:
a) she's playing her lyre:
umm..reference the riddle - when she plays the riddle in her dungeon in Arkan's palace, and while she's playing all the illusion disappears...you'll see what I mean once your at that part:D
b) and I'd say she shows some of her full power when she's in trouble [reference would be the wight in the Gift]
