I read some years ago, in an article by MZB, that she found a linguistic anachronism in Tolkien's work. But, she didn't say what it was.! I am assuming that this is in reference to Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit.
The only thing I can come up with is Sam's "Lor' bless me!" but that seems weak.
Anyone have a better candidate?
