No aras, you're right. Billy's not up there. Though, from what it sounds like, he has more support than bacon-ear-strange-head Hugh Jackman. XD

Just to reinforce my point again, here's sezzy Billy as Cadvan:

He's even wearing the shirt, guys! He's got the hair!! Waaahh!! *goes into fangirl mode* :D

*splutter*
I am...*takes a deep, calming breath*...I am in deep shock. I dearly hope, for the sake of my carefull preserved sanity, that you suggested Hugh Grant  in jest. How could you say such a thing, Siobhan?!
*breaks down and weeps*

Hate to break it to ya Mrs C, but I meant what I said about Hugh Grant being Cadvan... And excuse me all you people saying he's ugly he is NOT!! I think it's just cos alot of you guys (no offense) are kind of young and he's old, but he would be the right age for Cadvan... Billy's too young and no director would cast a 20-something to play an 80 yr old that looks 35. And about the "a man who likes having sex" comment, he's been an actor for ages and he's played roles that don't revolve around that for your information!

We'll never agree on these things..........

Well, Ah got news fa yew, Siobhan - Billy is 36! Just right for Cadvan, who incidently, is at one point described as sometimes looking just as youthful as Maerad!
As for the comment about young ppl not liking old people - not true! IMO Sean Bean is major hot stuff, despite him being about 46 (easily old enough to be my dad :D ). Hugh Grant, however, has unfortunately succumbed to being typcast into romantic comedies - so much so that they are now the only genre he can do. Besides, he is too old and imo not dashing enough to play Cadders. 'Nuff said. :D

Technically you should back that up with an explanation. A point made on its own is not a valid opinion.
Besides, what's not to like about Billy? He's tailor-made for the part. Watch him in Stage Beauty and you'll be absolutely mesmerized!

Fiesty! LOL

I agree with you, that Cadvan cannot be played by someone in their 20's, or someone that looks like they're in their 20's ... cough ... (Cadvan doesn't strike me as a boyish looking man). I also agree that Hugh Grant is not ugly, and that he should not be thought of as "a man who likes having sex", because he is a good actor. However, I do not think he is Cadvan material. In fact, I don't even think any of those actors in the poll are Cadvan material (except for maybe Sean Bean if he were a tad bit younger and a tad bit more handsome. NOT TO SAY THAT HE IS NOT HANDSOME so all the Sean Bean fan-girls please to not fan-girl all over me).

I think a really good Maerad would be ... http://amber.multipleshadows.net/
And a really good Saliman ... http://www.imdb.com/gallery/ss/0238380/Ss/0238380/17.jpg?path=gallery&path_key=0238380 (ignore the gun and imagine it's a bow and quiver or something :p )
And a really good Hem ... http://www.imdb.com/gallery/granitz/3316/Events/3316/JordanFry_Ausse_5418513_400.jpg?path=pgallery&path_key=Fry,%20Jordan
And a really good Cadvan ... http://www.imdb.com/gallery/ss/0238380/Ss/0238380/73.jpg?path=gallery&path_key=0238380 (I know I have guts to stress an opinion on this issue but, meh) ...

These are just suggestions/opinions so please don't lay into me for having these opinions/suggestions. T h e y ' r e j u s t i d e a s , w e ' r e n o t c a s t i n g o r a n y t h i n g. ;)

I like the Saliman one(At first I thought of Eddie Murphy for Saliman......I dont have a clue why....).........hmmmmm, not sure about the Cadvan......I really dont like the Hem......I think i prefer Elaine Cassidy on the Maerad.......dont take offence.......I was just saying what I thought(not in a nasty way though!!!)
