Who should play Cadvan IYO?

I do agree with you, it would be indeed very much fun for it to be made into a film. I'm just saying that sometimes a book stays best when it's a book, especially a book as mysterious and emotional one like The Gift and Riddle.
I mean, I'm sure on every single page you read, there will be reference to Maerad's thoughts or cadvan's anger etc, and it will be very hard to project that onto a screen, so you see that the character is emotional, but you don't really feel it as well as when you read the actual book. They won't feel that attached to the characters, and this will affect how you feel towards the book, as a whole.
Is it just me, or do I sound totally confusing???

but if u get a really GOOD director and BRILLIANT actor(ess)s they can
make the feelings show and even if they dont at least u wont be caught crying in the cinema! :)

Someone suggested David Wenham for Dernhil in Cadvan's Thread (or maybe Dernhil's), but I think he'd make a good Cadvan... Sean Bean would be good for Dernhil, IMO.
Hugh Jackman is too "big" for Cadvan, not physically, just his personality - then again, I've only really seen him in a quarter of X-men and Van Helsing, so it may have just been that particular part...

Ok guys you seriously have to stop saying no to actors just because there too famous, Who cares? If they're gonna play the part well then that should be what matters not how many people know there name

i voted for goran because he just looks like cadvan but with shorter hair. should we not decide who everyone else should be played by then carry on with this debate?
