Yeah I don't think anyone could pull off Cadvan, because he's different in all of our minds... But I think Hugh Jackman comes the closest, and may I just point out that he has more votes than anyone else :D

i would have to agree with siobhan that hugh jackman is an excellent candidate to play the golden role of cadvan. he's quite handsome in a ruggedly sort of way, he seems to be an actor that can understand the language of humour. sean bean seems to share this humour but i'd say hugh is better. hugh's smile would bring the sun up and light up a dark place.
it would be good if hugh can lose those wrinkles. maybe we should introduce him to the cream that reduces the signs of aging, something that women in their forties and over seem overly obsessed about.
and of course he has the mind not to star in star wars.

Ok guys you seriously have to stop saying no to actors just because there too famous, Who cares? If they're gonna play the part well then that should be what matters not how many people know there name
I didn't mean "big" as in status, I meant as in the personallity. I imagined Cadvan to be a lot "quieter". Like he says, he likes to be seen as the invisible watcher. Well, maybe not seen, but...
Then again, as I said, I've haven't really seen him in a huge amount of roles; it may have just been those particuar ones I saw.
If anything, it *should* be more famous actors - after all, they are famous for a reason... ;)

Hmm.... what's this about Hugh Jackman's wrinkles? Cadvan is supposed to be OLD, old people have wrinkles, besides Hugh's wrinkles are crows feet and unfortunetly, majority of people get them once they hit the big 30 especially if you smile alot (however I wouldn't suggest switching from smiling to frowning, because then you get wrinkles on your forehead) You also get wrinkles if you spend heaps of time in the sun and stress alot which makes you look older, and I imagine Cadvan's been spending lots of time in the sun while he was running around exploring and what not... which also brings lots of undue stress which makes you age

Cadvan is supposed to look about 35. That doesn't constitute 'old', surely?
