CROW SPOILER

They are the creatures that Sharma summoned at the end of the Crow when Hem was escaping and Imank was rebelling. Saliman thought them, when Hem told him, the worst creatures of the Abyss -as Ashe said, they destroy souls. They only have a couple of sentences.

I believe that answers your question :)

Hey, remember when Maerad had her foredream and the voice said "None will find my dwelling for I live in every human heart"? Was that not Sharma, then? Was it just the voice of evil? Because Hem DID find his dwelling.... Or at least his body, when he saw him kill Imank.

Perhaps the body is a shell that binds his heart to the earth and thus human hearts?

So, then, if that's true, why didn't everyone feel a stab of pain when he was destroyed?

wow, I never thought of that.
good question, Maia!
and oh! How I missed you!!! *hugs*:p
I think maybe Maerad have more "connection" with sharma?
or maybe because when they are doing the singing, sharma is connected to Maerad, so, making her suffer like sharma.

Missed you too. :D

That definitely makes sense, but I still don't know why nobody aside from Maerad (and maybe Hem, I can't recall whether or not that was specified) felt anything at all- or would such a detail be ignored, especially if it was something so small that the sheer shock of the realization that he was gone overruled it?

Well, Silvia said something like she felt a great sadness well in her breast or something, and then she knew he was gone. So, maybe that counts as feeling it?
