if the book became a movie, i would DEFINITLY want real actors/actresses. i can't say anything about cartoons that hasn't been said before but anime doesn't appeal to a lot of people (don't come after me with pitchforks, the voices made me say it) and cartoons wouldn't be scary or have any of the right emotions. I think the LOTR movie turned out really well for the book.

To save money on any Pellinor book movies all they would have to do is not use big name actors/actresses. There's loads of talent out there.

yeah, because when i see a famous person i know i start thinking about their other roles and then the two get confused in my mind so i never really understand the character in the movie that i'm watching. (whew, long sentence.:p :p )

I don't think that the movies should be animated because I locve the books and alot of people are like me and actually cannot stand animated movies! With the animated movies the people don't portray emotions very well and a good actor will give the Mearad and Cadvan good personalities. :p :p :p :o :o :o

BTW that means that i do agree with bookworm.

'kay, I know I'm not gonna convince anyone here to change their opinions, but I want to say this anyway:

Animation and filming are two art forms, both used for telling stories on a movie screen. Both have their positive and negative qualities. Both have their supporters and their enemies. They are two very different things.

But I think that, because they are two different art forms, two forms of self expression on one level or another, they can't be judged next to eachother.

Basically, this whole situation would be like saying: For a commision I have been told to create a likeness of the queen of England, but I have been assigned two choices of how to do it; sculpture or painting. Since sculpture is far better than painting, I'll do it that way.

Now, if you walked into an art gallery and told people that, alot of them would be a tad angry, don't you think? To say one art form is "better" than another is saying a very big thing. Because there really isn't a scale that you can measure art on. It's fine to say that you like or enjoy one art form more than another, for instance I like/enjoy animation a bit more than live action filming, but saying that an art form is better than another, is, in my opinion, a bit silly.

i'm not entirely sure whether or not i want them to be movies, but if they were, i think real actors and actresses would be more interesting to watch, in my oppinon. i'm not a big fan of animation, really.

I understand what Lemur_girl is saying. i can say that animation does have it's moments but this is just not one of them.
