good point lemur girl
but im still just not an anime fan myself, i'd prefer it with real ppl, it seems more emotional to me with real ppl than anime, for the circumstance at least

I don't think that the movies should be animated because I locve the books and alot of people are like me and actually cannot stand animated movies! With the animated movies the people don't portray emotions very well and a good actor will give the Mearad and Cadvan good personalities. :p :p :p :o :o :o

BTW that means that i do agree with bookworm.

I agree with both pellinor reader and spring.:D :p

Anime would make it oodles easier to create the world of Pellinor but it would make it seem less real to the readers. In the LOTR movies the story became real and if these books were to be made into a movie they would have to be done in LOTR fashion to be completely successful. Personally, i'm against the animation, but if a script were to be made, it should be done with major help from Alison herself and perhaps a few devoted fans so as to contain the books in the movies as much as possible.

and there would be no problem finding fans ;) :D

No way would I want the books to be made into a movie. Okay, just to express myself clearly, here is ONE of the MANY examples that is written in the book, that is impossible to act on the screen, even if we had the mosted talented actors and actresses and directors on the set, yodee.

In the Riddle, on page410,
the last paragraph, Maerad has just been hurt by the Winterking, on the insides, and it says:

The Winterking stepped down from the dais and walked towards her, and then bent down and took her chin in her hand.

This bit will be quite easy to act out, but what about the next bit???

His hand was cold as ice, and its strength inexorable, but his touch was gentle. Maerad looked up into his eyes and instantly forgot everything in a rush of desire. She blinked with humiliation, seeing a flash of triumph in Arkan's eyes, and tried to hide her face.

I'm sorry, but how on erath will you be able to act that out on the screen????

You serious? They would just act and their emotions will be written on their faces. They could also add in a line about his hand being cold. What do you want out of the scene, because it's not all that hard to turn this scene onto film. Do you want them to show his hand blue or something?!?!

Sorry if I sound mad or bitchy.

They could also in that same scene, close up on their faces, have them being really close to eachother not inches away from touching, and have Maerad's face look flushed and filled with desire. It is perfectly possible, and it's not anyone's fault if the audience doesn't catch what's going on. Like Pirates of the Caribbean 2 and the friction between Elizabeth and Jack Sparrow. There were signs well before the actual kiss ;)

I''l admit, I am a bit(underestimation >.>) of an anime addict. :o For some reason, I WOULD like to see an animated version. I'd love to see the books into a film too. lol, possibly even realistically computer generated (like the final fantasy, I think that's what it is. :o )

I'd like to see all of them. *I'm greedy!* :D :o Just for the sake of seeing them.

To be honest, I really don't care, if an anime or whatever came out, I'd still watch it. :D I'm like that. If it's got bad animation or actors, the books are still there and are sitting on the shelf, waiting and waiting.....
I'm sticking with my original answer....and as so many other people have said. NO FILM, WHATEVER THE KIND!!

(P.S Haven't been her for a while, please forgive me. Happy belated New year and Christmas!! lol :D )

If an anime movie came out and you wanted to imagine the books and you wanted to imagine yourself as maerad it would be so much harder to imagine it.
